Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Hi all,

I'm starting another collection - programs (and documentation) that
relate to the very basic of DOS programming. The target usage will be on
486 computers, in rural areas where internet access is not available -
but where land line phone service is available, with people who don't
have a techie background and need everything explained in detail.

I'm soliciting documentation and/or freeware (with source code would be
ideal, but not necessary) on the following:

1. Assembly, disassembly, debug, compilers, etc.
2. UUE and all the variations (technical specification documentation
would be nice).
3. BBSs and any peer-to-peer communication programs.
4. Small DOS command-line-only programs that don't disturb the Arachne
screen display (i.e., perfect for DGI usage in Arachne AH pages).

The last item (#4) can include almost anything. What I want is a variety
of programs that I can use from inside Arachne ... essentially to
experiment with the DGI calls.

Please save the list members from an excessive volume of email ...

... send everything directly to me at bobdohse@xxxxxxxxx

Thanks,

Bob ~
