I haven't been participating at any but marginal level because currently
my *personal* world is busy bitting me in the buttocks most
persistently. When that happens I know it's best for me to not get too
involved in things where I might 'vent' at the innocent unsuspecting who
just happens to trigger something inside my (sometimes) evil mind.
That's why I used the "tail in the door" metaphor ... a less than
subtle reminder that sometimes we can allow the real world to affect how
we behave virtually. <G> With winter and the holiday seasons close to
hand, many of us will find ourselves edgier than normal; we can all
benefit by remembering that not all mail has to be responded to, and
there's no law against sitting on our hands once in awhile.
