Sam,
It's the same way reading Joe's posts in Pine, on
Linux or BSD. The reason you can't read winmail.dat
is because it's a binary file. It's produced by
Outlook, and determines how it's formatted emails
render to the receiver. Of course you need to use
micro$oft wares to actually use it. A great place
for malicious nasty to hide, IMO.

Can anyone explain why I do not receive a .txt plus winmail.dat file,
but just very readable html ????

Arachne version number? I have 1.81 installed as of now. I can't
keep up anymore with all the changes and versions and testing.

But with 1.81 I'm not getting readable HTML from Joe. I get a
blank message with two atttachments. One is a *text file that I
can read with a Arachne and the other is a winmail.dat file that
I can't read. But if I just get a single text file I can't
read it.
