Jerry,
Not sure, but this sounds like a problem with either the ISP's DNS
servers, or a configuration file with the packet driver. If you
are using EPPPD (the default for Arachne 1.70), might want to try
WZPPP or LSPPP, and then use the configuration wizard in Arachne
to change the TCP setup to use "resident packet driver", that's
how I've been running all versions of Arachne for the last 4 years
or so. Also, many ISPs no longer accept TCP/IP PPP connections
from EPPPD, and some not even from WZPPP, they think EVERYONE is
running the latest versions of MS Windows and Internet Explorer!!
Juno is one of those that requires Windows and Juno's proprietary
software in order to connect. In fact, last weekend I received an
email from Juno informing me that as of December 1, 2004, free
email account users will only be allowed access via the web, and
JavaScript driven http://webmail.juno.com! So, one of my oldest
email addresses will soon be history, and Juno email will no
longer be a recommendation of mine for Windows 3.X users!!
C U L8R!
