Hello Joe

As long as your message comes as MIME multipart with two base 64 encoding parts (one text file and one winmail.dat file) seems to be no problem here with Mozilla Thunderbird

I can see from the headers that you are using Microsoft Exchange as mail server. Maybe this is the misconfigured one.

Apologies in advance if this is unreadable ...
Well, Sam, in answer to "Maybe Joe could explain why he's doing",
I'm tempted to say, RTFM, where in this case, the M stands for
"message(s)", since I have explained the situation many times
already, and am getting rather annoyed at people suggesting I use
a different e-mail client.
So, for the last time: This problem with freelists is NOT caused by
my e-mail CLIENT, it is caused by the Symantec firewall software
that our IT people run on our e-mail SERVER. This is not something
that I have any control over. Sometimes this works out, sometimes
it doesn't.
Apologies for getting stroppy.
Joe.

Are there other people here who are also experiencing a similar
problem with their ISP's in the case of messages posted to the
list by Joe da Silva?

There would be no problem at all if Joe just used any one of a myriad of email clients (there must be dozens and dozens of email clients for every imaginable platform) that sends plain old ordainary text like a reasonable person would have the courtesy to do if he was interested in actually communicating with us Arachnoids.

Email is not difficult. Why make it frustrating by using a
javascript enabled web browser to send messages that can't be
read?

I just don't get it. Maybe Joe could explain why he's doing
what he's doing. I'll assume that he has his reason, even if
he's never bothered to clue us in about this.
