I know they are.
But I want to use the functions I remember. Or I want to remember
the ones I want/need to use.
When I occasionally remember that the editor will do some fancy
thing but I have forgotten which key(s) to use, then I look at
the help screen.
But most times I just assume that the internal editor can't do
it, so I go to the external editor that I _know_ will do things
like split screen for working on multiple files, reformatting the
paragraphs for a different right margin, linking to the spell
checker, and so on.
And with the oddball things that the internal editor occasionally
does, I prefer to stay with it for as short a time as possible.
