There's no "system info tools" for Linux because all info about the system
is already available through the system itself.
Next time you're booted to Linux, root around /proc a bit and see if it
doesn't tell you as much or more. Even dmesg will tell you quite a bit.
The same holds true for other tools, as I
recently learned when I tried to run a famous partition manager for
Linux on a mid '90s 486 PC; it simply did not run on that machine. ;-)
A partition manager from the mid '90s will run on that machine. You
wouldn't try to run Windows Vista defrag on a mid '90s machine, would you?
