Hi!
I found that large screens, like this one,
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=10368022&forum_id=36903
scroll very slowly on my machine (Pentium4/3066 with 256 MB). I have set
the virtual screen option to "Huge - Pentium with 128+ MB", but it does
not make much of a difference; the perceived scrolling speed is very
slow and also the scrolling is very jerky.
To me it seems like Arachne would not scroll the virtual screen at all
but rather clear and then redraw it, which results in a flickering
effect that is very hard on the eyes.
Is there anything I could do about this? I have not seen this with any
other programs, so it is unlikely that my graphics card is the culprit,
but just for the record, it is an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 AGP with 128 MB
graphics mem.
Regards,
Udo
