In a conversation face to face with you, I would probably not fare so
well since I would miss my dictionary. ;-)
But you are right, of course - emails are not a good vehicle for
emotions.
I am not mad at anyone on the list or making fun of you; I am simply
concerned that people who look for info about Arachne because they think
that a DOS browser would be interesting could be scared off when they
look at the complex procedures that some people undergo to upgrade
Arachne.
I think that problems with installing or upgrading Arachne should be
reported and discussed, but only to make it possible to fix them. Only
if a fix is not possible, a work-around solution should be recommended.
I recently looked at John's Arachne 2DoList, and found it to be much
longer than the DoneList. Some items seem to have already been on the
list for a very long time, judging by the Arachne version for which they
were posted. I think there is already enough on that list to scare off
interested parties without the necessity to chase phantoms.
Regards,
Udo
