Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Hi Mel,
I solved the problem by NOT having any program loaded that is NOT needed
for Arachne at booting.

Do you realy need the CD for Arachne? I guess not.

So REM out all CD-stuff in autoexec.bat and you will get more free
memory for Arachne.

But, you sometimes want to use the CD => make a batch file in the main
C:\ directory containing all the CD stuff.

Do not call it: CD.bat because CD is a DOS-command... player.bat will
do. If you want to use your CD... just type "Player".

I also REMed out Norton Commander from autoexec.bat and made a bath
"NC.bat".

Before: MEM = 79k (red)
After: MEM = 135+ (green)

The maximum of free memory is needed during dialing.

Regards, Bastiaan (73's)
