I did a clean install of 1.75GPLL, then I ran CFG-PPP LSPPP as
advised in the installation instructions. I have checked and the
version that I unzipped from LSPPP.ZIP was indeed 1.01.

But the point is academic as the system is working without LSPPP.

Ah, yes, that was to allow me to swap from one ISP to the other
without rewriting the ARACHNE.CFG and restarting it.

Thanks for the reminder, but as you say, not so necessary now.
