Yeah, it's always been confusing to me. I just ticked the different
boxes until I got one to work. The only one that works with my old
video card is 640x480 with the specific card ticked. Arachne says
"Vesa detected" but those boxes don't work. Trial and error sorted
things out ok and I have only the poorest understanding of video
cards and modes.
There aren't that many different choices to try, so I just tried them
all.
The potential new Arachne user (if there is such a beast) can
probably handle that ok as they are going to have to have at least
a passing aquaintence with DOS and other technical subjects like
their own hardware and some internet basics.
