I think that I have covered all the bases.....

When pop3 log is turned off and the mail dir and Arachne_main
dir are on the same drive, only the size of the message plus the
MinDiskSpace setting is required as freespace.

When pop3 log is turned on but the mail dir and the Arachne_main dir
are on different drives, the size of the message is required as freespace
on the mail dir drive _and_ the size of the message plus the MinDiskSpace
setting is required as freespace on the Arachne_main dir drive.

When pop3 log is turned on and the mail dir is on the same drive
as is the Arachne_main dir... we need double the size of the message
plaus the MinDiskSpace setting as freespace on that drive.

This is due to the fact that the message itself is saved to an
individual .CNM file _and_ it is appended to the pop3.log file
which is in the Arachne_main dir.

example:

Freespace          == 3mb
Message size       == 2mb
MinDiskSpace       == 2mb
Required freespace == 2mb
Result == message skipped and this message written into a .CNM file.

Subject: Skipping message #1, too big for disk space available
 Available disk space on mail drive: 3442688
 Required disk space for this message: 6389068
 Message size of 2145958 + MinDiskSpace setting of 2097152
 (double the message size itself due to POP3LOG)
 Message size of (2145958 * 2) + MinDiskSpace setting of 2097152

________

All of the above has been done as a safety measure to be sure we don't
lose important messages due to too little space available to store them.

With the safety measure, the message is left on the server ansd we can
retrieve it after freeing-up some space on the drive.

Without the safety measure... the mesaage would be deleted from the
server and there would be no way to retrieve it.
