[arachne] Problem with tables

Hi,

there seems to be a problem with the way Arachne displays tables;
sometimes one column of text that is meant to be wider is displayed very
narrow if it follows another one - or so it seems.

Here is an example from a message in my forum:

http://www.drdosprojects.de/forum/drp_forum/posts/332.html

The text that comprises the message body is very narrow even though the
cell that holds it should be much wider - in fact it should fill up the
remaining 80% of the table width.

However, editing the page source and changing the value "20%" to "15%"
in the following line that belongs to the first cell

<tr><td bgcolor="#e5e5d1" width="20%" valign="top">

makes the message body look as expected. It seems like Arachne somehow
miscalculates the width of the following cell depending on the width of
the first one.

The version I am currently using is 1.89, but I have already seen this
problem in older versions, too.

Regards,

Udo
