Greg, Many people using other systems than DOS routinely use RSS. It's much easier to view the headlines with a short description of content, than to pore thru long web pages, for the things that interest them. Thanx to glennmcc, DOS users can now, join the rest of the world, in the use of this conveniance. Rob:
Thanks, Rob.
But I'm still in the dark as to what RSS actually is.
Over a week ago, I subscribed for an RSS program listing of one of our local TV stations. I received several emails that my subscription had been approved.
Since then nothing has happened.
Do I have to wait for them to email me the progam listing, I assume in RSS format?
Or do I have to do something?
And if the latter, what do I have to do?
I assume the converter Glenn McCorkle has developed is just something to convert files in RSS format to another format such as HTML that Arachne can handle.
But where does the RSS file come from?
And how does it get to my computer?
