So at this point in time what's a legacy machine? It's only recently
that the Arachne development mob threw the 286 overboard and went to
the 386 and up version.
Many of us have a variety of computers with various systems running,
some old, some newer, maybe even some bleeding edge screamers. I
think we'd all like to see an improved Arachne. There is no neccesity
for new, improved versions of Arachne to be limited by any barrier.
There is no reason why you couldn't put together a "modern" version
of Arachne that would use more memory, more effeciently. The source
is available to all who want to make improvements.
So why not recruit some developers and make a version to your liking?
The fact that some people like to poke around with old computers isn't
holding anyone back.
