My mistake. I didn't make it quite clear that what I wanted to
know was the meaning of JPEGargs in the context of animated
graphics being animated or not.

That's alright. I don't expect everyone to know everything. I was
just hoping that someone would know the answer.

But this points up once again the weaknesses with Arachne's code,
that it is so obscure (and I gather inadequately documented) that
these problems keep popping up for no obvious reason.

My thoughts exactly, but I don't have an animated graphics saved
to test it with.

Hmmm... maybe, but its format looks too much like a genuine
config parameter to be just coincidence. OTOH I could be wrong...

Again properly documented code would allow a search for the
string "Blcc" to see what it is associated with, which would give
at least a clue of what it does.

I wish I had the time to get into the code to search out these
things. My programming skills are rusty, but they do work, at
least within the extent of my experience.

But time... there ain't just enough hours in the day for the
things I NEED to do...
