Try setting the mtu/mss rate lower. Even though standard is 1500, had
better connections with 576. Too large a packet on dialup causes repeat
requests.
As for which email address to use with which isp, it does not matter which
isp. I send 3 addresses from the same Outbox and Inbox no matter what isp am
using today.
Example: create 2 .acf config files, one for each isp/email address.
First acf has a line similar:
ShiftF2 file://isp2.acf
Place parameters for email servers, addresses etc. Call for example this
file: isp1.acf
Now edit the first .acf file and change line to:
ShiftF2 file://isp1.acf
Edit email settings for this isp. Save as isp2.acf Change system colors so
you can readily identify which isp Arachne is using.
Ready to write email. Start Arachne, choose email address .acf via Shf-F2
Write notes, save to Outbox. Want to write some notes from other address
hit hotkey again. Write more notes to Outbox. To send choose isp using
hotkey. Dial in, connect, send email all together.
What about 2 addresses in Inbox? Arachne displays which address it was sent
to. Still online, check first isp for pop mail, hotkey, check second isp
for mail. Respond to a note from first isp, toggle hotkey back, write your
note.
You can branch out and have several .acfs with different email addresses.
Use button for .acf files from Dial page. The only caveat is ensure when
sending smtp that you have the .acf from the isp you dialed in loaded.
Never had more than 4 addresses from 1 Inbox but there is no limit. Create
as many .acf files as you desire. At one time had 2 isps used daily with 3
email addresses and switched between them all the time on the fly.
