I understand what you're saying.

While I am lucky enough not to be bothered by spam  -- so far anyway --
I can sympathize with those who do get masses of it.

I along with many other people connect to the internet with a relatively
slow dial-up service. My download rates are usually about
100kbytes/minute.

So if I was getting say 300 spams a day, with an average size of
10kbytes, that would be 30 minutes worth of download time to get them in
before your susggested system could sort them out from the genuine mail.

Much better to use the spam filters that most ISPs provide these days.
That way, I don't have to download heaps of junk just to check whether I
want to read it or not.

Just my $0.02 worth.
