Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
Joe,
ESACTLY!! That's what I have been saying all along!
You just now confirmed what I have had to do as well...
I use an alternate browser to Arachne to actually manage
my groups, as well as my Yahoo Briefcases, GeoCities sites,
and Yahoo Mail! You use the newer version of Lynx...
I have it as well, but haven't fired it up yet. I use
2.8.4dev9 most of the time, compiled with PDCurses.
Alternatively, I use Lynx 386 2.8.1 rel1 compiled with
S-Lang...gives a little smaller EXE, but not as much
flexibility...it doesn't allow "LOCAL_EXEC", which I
use for email purposes.
Why didn't you say this in the first place? It is no
shame to use one of the alternates available...heck,
I even fire up Windows 3.11 on some occassions when I
need JavaScript, and I have Windows 95 A for things that
even Win3X can't do. In Win3X, Opera 3.62 will do the
HTTP Uploads...but, it is a bit tricky at Yahoo...add
one extra file to your desired uploads, and when the last
one starts, you can stop the upload...for some reason,
Opera 3.62 doesn't finish the entire upload even with
scripting turned on. Sure, it's not perfect, but, it
works.
C U L8R!
