I did have to get them and CDEX wouldn't work until I did, so I would
suggest that you're possibly OK.

Sorry, I can't help much more. It's been a while now since I got it
going and I just use it with no probs.

Carol - one other thing has just come to light from reading the help
file,
where it talks about needing the aspi drivers for ripping from CD-ROM,
so
maybe this is my problem, as I don't know if I have these or not. Can
you
cast any light on this one?

Hi Andy,

I've sometimes heard "Jitter Error" but haven't noticed much when
listening on the CD.

I've also heard it's a good idea to silence or take out JAWS or other
speech programmes so that the processor isn't so hard at work. I now do
this so don't know if there's jitter error or not.

You could look to see if there's a way to slow down the CD speed. I
have a feeling there is but haven't had to look for ages.

Hi all -

This is the first time I've had a go with CDEX version 1.30; with a CD
in my burner, I open the CDEX programme, and hit F9 to extract to MP3,
something starts to happen, and JFW reports several percentage figures,
things like 50% max min, and 96 DB, and time elapse 0, and remaining
time 0, and then I get a jitter error and an abort button. I've used
different CDs, and it's just the same!

Love some help please!

Andy
