Hi Christine,
JAWS will work with Microsoft Access. There are some free tutorials available
for download though I can't recall where just now. I've noticed that there is
another thread this morning that mentions learning Access so the tutorials
might get a mention.
JAWS will not work with the database part of Microsoft Works.
As for the email, you don't copy and paste files. Instead they need to be
attached.
With a new email open, go to the Insert Menu and choose "Attach File".
Another way to attach a file to an email is as follows.
1. Select the file in Windows Explorer.
2.. Press the Applications key (The key to the left of the right control key)
or Shift+F10.
3.. Choose Send To.
4.. Choose Mail Recipient.
A new email will be created with the file attached. Just fill in the "To"
field and add your message as normal.
HTH.
Ian

Subject: [access-uk] Data base help needed.
Hi all, I have been struggleing with trying to make a data base. I have a
list of people who are on my papercrafts group and we swap and make 2 cards
each per month. I wanted to make a data base of people who are sending and
those who are sending to. I need to change it around each month so nobody
sends and receives from the same people. I have 31 people in all.
My problem is I can't get Jaws to read a data base, I have had access up but
I just don't know what I am doing. Never had any lessons on this.
My husband (sighted) eventually made the data base for me and sent it in an
email for me to send on to the group.
Problem: He made this in works and I couldn't read it with jaws. Is there a
way? Secondly I tried copying and pasting it into a new email and sent it back
to him (practice before sending it to my group as this needs to come from my
own email account) but he said the email was blank, so it won't copy and paste.
Any light on the subject much apreciated.
Thanks, Christine W.
