you can either save your skype settings folder which is stored in the
application data folder of the user name you log in as or you can save your
contacts to a .vcf file if you are using skype 1.2.x or later. The option
for the latter is found under the tools menu in skype 1.2.x and up.

Hi group,
I'm about to format my hard drive and was wondering, how can I reserve my
skype contacts please? Would they appear again when I login with my skype
name after formatting my local drive like msn contacts do? I'm not quite
sure about this cause it appears that the skype contacts got saved
somewhere on the local disk rather on the skype servers.
Thanks for any feedback I may receive.
