Hi,
I'm giving an old laptop of mine to someone and have just put the latest
version of AVG Free on it. I want to make sure its virus database is up to
date but am not sure what to download from the grissoft site. (This old
laptop hasn't got internet access at the moment and it'd be easier to just
download the file and instal it rather than getting it to talk to my
router).
On this page of the Grissoft site there's a table with download files for
updates. It says what operating system they're for, a description and a
date they were released. All except one of the operatings systems says
"avi"; the other one says "OS: W" - but these are graphics so perhaps the
alt text is not reflective of what they actually say. I don't know what avi
means. I'm inclined to download just the latest files but there are several
with today's date on them. And the one saying "OS: W" (which I assume is
for Windows) is the oldest file.
Could someone with enough sight look at the table and say what the operating
system graphics in the left hand column show? Could anyone let me know what
you think I should download?
