Hi Barry
Very good point Barry. I don't want to be infected as soon as I go on-line.
I'm currently using Sygate Personal Firewall, and I've been fine for months.
Would you think that SPF will be adequate for broadband use, or am I perhaps
better purchasing a different firewall?
Best wishes.

it before you go on broadband. When I connected my broadband modem to the
net there were five attempts to scan my computer within the first second.
The tiscali web site I downloaded my update for the modem even tried sending
me a virus. Luckily, I had a firewall installed. Within five minutes, the
firewall stopped twenty attacks.
