Alexander - can't help re whether your particular scanner will or won't
work with particular pieces of software other than to say that it is
rare for software to conflict with any pretty recent scanner. I'd of
thought any scanner less than 5 years old would be fine unless you find
something saying it isn't.
Re kurzweil - as a VI person you very defintiely are only interested in
kurzweil 1000.
The 3000 edition is aimed at the dyslexia market and concentrates on
features to help this audience such as highlight words as they are read
aloud etc.

Hi all,
I am sorry the subject keeps changing and the subject line keeps getting
longer while I try and find out what the best software is to run on my
canoScan 1250U2, but, for different reasons I seem to have had problems
when it comes to getting details on the purchase of OmniPage and I don't
seem to be getting very far with research on abbyy Finereader either, so
as the subject line of this message says, I have started looking at
whether Kurzweil1000 or 3000 for windows would work easily with my
scanner.
I have looked on the Kurzweil website but my scanner is not listed as
being compatible can anyone give me some advice as to whether it is
worth me trying to obtain a demo of Kurzweil 100 or 300 to try with my
scanner.
Thank you in advance for any advice.
Alexander Shannon
