Helo Caroline. I'll be interested to see what replies you get to this
question as I anticipate doing some FTP downloading/uploading in the near
future. In the meantime, it might be worth mentioning that GW Micro, the
writers of Window-Eyes, have always recommended FTP Voiger, although I don't
think this is a free offering.

Congratulations by the way on your BlindCoolTech contributions. I enjoyed
the first one, but haven't heard the second yet.

Hello,
Up until recently I've been using Internet Explorer to download files from
some FTP sites, but after a few dropped connections, I decided to look at
dedicated FTP clients to see if there is anything which will resume a
download if it is interrupted to avoid me having to re-start from scratch
every time.
I had FTP Explorer recommended to me, but I've had a couple of problems with
it. I've been using version 1.0.1 build 35.
The first problem is that I've been unable to resume a download, even though
the program asks me if I would like to attempt to do so. Every time I click
on OK to resume, the partial file is over-written and the download starts
from the beginning again. This might be because the site from which I'm
downloading doesn't support resuming downloads, but I don't think this is
the case.
The more serious problem though is that, when a file is completely
downloaded, instead of stopping, the program just starts downloading the
file all over again without giving me a chance to intervene.
If anyone knows what I have to do to get the best out of this program,
please let me know, or if there is a better FTP client I should try, I'd
appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks,
Caroline.
