Hi John,

Yes, I'm in the same position as you. My family don't appriciate me having AD switched onto the sky box so, I had to take it off. However, given that although I can get by, using sight to switch AD on, with nose up to TV screen. The screen's so bright that it really makes it hard going. So, I taught myself a way of doing it. ONce, with sight, working out where where everything is that I need to set up and audio description. I don't know the names of the menu choices you want though. i didn't do it enough by sight to learn then, plus, can't read much doing it that way anyhow.

Here goes.

hit services, down arrow three times, press enter. down arrow two times, press enter. down arrow once, right arrow once, press enter (may need sighted assistance to ensure the "on" position remains). down arrow four times, press enter to save changes. Press sky button.

That should do it. I can look up the names of the menu selection you want, I can get someone to read that fully to me.

Hello list,

I hope I am not alone in this slight irritation, but . . .

We have Sky Digital at home and I find the Audio Description service it
offers is very good and gives a much better idea of what is going on.
However, the rest of my family just find it hinders their TV enjoyment;
which I guess I can understand.

As other family members often switch Audio Description off when I am not
watching TV then I often find that it is not on when I do want it.

Has anyone worked out how to switch it on without sight?
