Sorry to reply to my own message, but on further investigation, I found that
somehow the dictionary in MS Word had been changed to US English under the
language submenu. How this was done I do not know.
After changing it back all new documents are checked with the correct (UK)
English, however, when spell checking any documents that were saved before I
made this change they come up as being checked using the US English, and so
does any text that I copy into MS Word from any e-mails that I received
prior to my changing the setting in Word's language submenu.
Does my second message help anyone to see my problem?
