1. Open the JAWS window with Caps lock+J
2. Press alt o to open the options menu.
3. Press v to open the voices submenu.
4. Press g to open the global voice settings dialogue box.
5. Tab to the rate slider and set it to the desired settings by using
the arrow keys (small increments or decrements) or page up/page down
(large increments or decrements) or home/end (to slide it to the
leftmost or rightmost values respectively).
6. Press enter to save your changes.
