Hi Ray,
Just to add to what Carol said. The man thought it was the best thing since
sliced bread, both from the point of view of usability without sight and the
quality of the recording. I have to agree that the overall quality of the
recording, using the Edirol's built in mikes, was superb. There was a low
frequency hum throughout the recording which bothered me a bit, and I can't
quite decide whether it was something in his house, such as an air
conditioning unit, or it was produced by the Edirol. There's another review
coming up on Blind Cool Tech in the next couple of days, covering points
that the other reviewer left out, and I'll be interested to see if the hum
is still present. If it's not, then I'll know it was something electrical
in the environment of the other reviewer. If it is, then I'd have to say
I'd be concerned that such a high priced recorder let itself down in this
way. Have a listen and see what you think yourself.
