Hi Ali
The problem with doing it without sight is that you need to install Windows
and the sound card drivers before you can even think about getting speech
back on your computer and, while the installation is running, there are a
few options that you need to select. However, there is a programme on the
jfw light programmes page called Windows XP Unattended Setup Kit. I had a
look at using this last year but, although it seems usable, it is a little
complicated to set up. Basically, you set all the parameters for the format
and re-installation before you start and this programme sorts it all out.
Here's the link:

Subject: [access-uk] Formatting laptop
Hi,
I am thinking of formatting my laptop, do I need sighted assistance, or,
can
I do it myself?
Thank you.
