Hi there. Glad you've signed up to our newsletter.
this should only be a confirmation email. When you receive the regular
newsletters there won't be any number signs in sight.
Basically, it's a code thing. It is quite common to have an email formulated
in that way when being sent to a majordomo listserver.
Basically the clever robot that receives it this end knows to ignore all the
lines with a number sign at the beginning. That's for humans. The lines
without a numbersign are for the machine and gives the computer useful info
about what you want, etc.
