Hello Ted, It may be relevant.  Usually on my dial up connection there is a 
wait of 30 secs or 
more before the stream starts plus occasional brief breaks.   I wonder whether 
the BBC 
servers are temporarily overloaded and their output is not up to the normal 
standard.    But 
on the other hand I have no problem if I go directly to the listen Again links 
on the BBc site.
