Hi Keith,
Looking at the Intel page for this board, it appears the
network/LAN drivers are the same for both 2000 and XP.
If everything is working according to plan, the Vigor Setup
CD should find the router automatically. Does it?
What happens when you install the Vigor's Router Tools? Are
they in fact Version 2.5.3 or above? If not, you can get
them from http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/index.html
With the Vigor plugged in, go to Internet Explorer, and type
in the address http://192.168.1.1 (which SHOULD be the
Router's default IP address) Does it find it?
Also, have to checked Hardware Updates in the Windows Update
process? It's possible there may even be a later driver
than you have already.
George.

Subject: [access-uk] xp network problem
Hi,
Tryed sending this yesterday but did not seem to get
through.
I have recently installed xp sp2 on a separate hd in a
caddy.
I am having trouble getting the xp system to access the net.
I am using a vigor 2600 connected to the network port.
So far, I have:-
1 Downloaded and installed the latest drivers for xp from
the intel site.
The board is a d875pbz and I am using the onboard network
card.
2 Attempted to set up a connection to the internet by
selecting the always on option from the internet setup
wizzard.
3 If I unplug the network cable, I do not get a message in
the sys tray indicating that the cable is unplugged. I get
this in windows 2000.
If I select the connection and choose the repair option, I
get a message saying that it cannot continue to varify an ip
address.
So, any ideas as to where I go from hear?
Keith
