Hello Robert,

Yes, in the vast majority of cases.

Linux is a totally different operating system than Windows. You can't
run Windows software under Linux, and since the vast majority of
viruses (probably 99.99%) are targeted at Windows, Linux is totally,
completely immune to them. It's so safe that most people don't need to even 
bother with AV
software if they're running Linux.
