[24hoursupport] 100% CPU usage

I sometimes get an indication that I'm using 100% of the CPU capacity for
an extended period of time. Actually, once it happens, it never goes
away. Although the overall system performance doesn't seen to diminish
perceptably, I'm thinking that some mix of programs causes this. Is there
a way to identify which program that might be?
