[24hoursupport] READ ONLY FILE

I was working on a spreadsheet on a 3.5 floppy and saved it.
When I tried to open it the next day, I got a message that said - can't access
- read only file.
How do I change the attribute or status to acquire the data.
It is excel 2000.
