Barry,
You might want to throw a little more info in here on this. Brand? Is it a
winmodem? How does it connect to your PC? (internal, USB, Serial)

Subject: [24hrsupporthelpdesk] Modem
Has anyone one got any clues on this.
Why do some Dial-up Modems need to be turned on before starting Windows?
XP in particular You need to make sure you turn your modem on before booting
into XP
Does anyone know of a fix for this?
