I'm coming in cold here, but you need to find in the administrative
tools where you can control services. Are you in win2k or XP? I am
currently in Linux, so I'll have to reboot to give a better answer.
Also, I may be wrong, but if IIS is on and it's slowing you down, you
might have a virus. --d
