Hi Mike,
Thanks for the prompt suggestions but I'm already using both of
those and would be lost without that old favourite TweakUI.    :-)

The one I'm chasing is very similar but quite specific in the
half-dozen tweaks it contains; none of which were dramatic but simply
removed several trivial 'alerts' that Windows insists on displaying.

All I can remember of its origin is that it was German.
