Excellent Opportunity to Help
October 3, 2007
Your help is needed!
Vice Mayor David Cortese and the Rotary Club are hosting the annual Day in the
Park at Lake Cunningham on October 6. This is another great opportunity to
serve and extend a hand with a smile from SJFF L230 members. 8-10 volunteers
are needed to cook and serve the community during this event. Set up starts
at 9AM and the event lasts until 4PM. Please refer to the attached flyer for
details. The BBQ season is winding down and we ask that you help finish it
strong by coming and representing the membership. At this point I only have 2
volunteers.
A smaller event but equally important to hundreds of parents and children of
Carson Elementary is a Walk-A-Ton being held as a fundraiser for the school on
October 5. The event is smaller and lasts from 4:45-8PM. Only 3-4 volunteers
are needed to cook and serve food. So far I only have one volunteer.
