[0702b] First shift

The C-shifters met up for breakfast
afterwards. Allread (E14) went to 18 calls and went to the hospital
twice. Coleman (E25) ran no calls and broke their only coffee pot.
Dixon (U13) and Menjivar
(U5) ran a couple of
calls. Everyone seemed to have cool crews. I won't speak for them too
much.
By the way, expect CAs Franchi (E3A), McGuire (E8B) and Toledo (E8A) to
be wanting to seriously drill you to see what your skill level is.
As for me, I was on E3
with a very
nice crew. Also there were FFs Seaton (A shift) and Mayorga, who were
both
very cool. We went to about 12 calls, 4 after midnight; I split the
medicals with the medic and did a couple of PCRs, which are so much
better than handwriting quadruplicates.
All of us seemed to not be able to
get to phone every single time. A couple of us weren't able to do much
cleanup. I didn't work out until 11pm. Expect lots of pranks and be
grateful for them. Help out, carry stuff, get there early, stay late,
bring donuts, put on all your PPEs unless directed otherwise, etc.
Don't forget to return the radio and passport. And be happy; they
REALLY like that.
Oh, and whatever you hear about me and water and some sort of dunk
tank, it's probably true.
Good luck.
Tom
